my birthday is over but my quest to move is not. I took a trip to a city and it was one of the happiest times of my life. I have no freedom at home. I cannot leave the house without someone driving me or spending a lot of money on lyfts that are relatively scarce, so I very rarely get to go anywhere. my most frequent outings are to the grocery store and to the hospital. I will never be able to drive because my poor health causes frequent fainting. being near public transportation is absolute freedom for me, and my dream is to live in a city that has public transportation. I genuinely dream at night about being able to leave the house and go places. I want to be a miracle story. I want to move to a city. I want a happy ending while I still have a say in it. please consider helping me get there.

hi, I’m Jess and I’m an unemployed, multiply disabled trans dyke living in financial dependence on my abusive family. I’ve been struggling for a long time and getting through largely thanks to donations from posts like these. My partner and I thought we were financially set this month after paying off our massive electric bill (thank you to the donors who made that possible!), but a couple things just came up out of the blue: her phone broke, and she has to suddenly quit her job today because she overheard her managers talking about firing her for refusing to do things we both firmly believe are animal abuse. She’s been working at a dog daycare whose management treats her badly and was paying her a miserable $9 an hour with limited hours and no benefits. She just had to spend most of a paycheck to get a very basic phone replacement, and we’re left extremely short of what we need right now, with even less income than usual for the foreseeable future.

please help my gf get a working phone

hi internets, my gf’s phone has been on it’s last legs for months and tonight it became flat out unusable. It was a hand-me-down, 8 year old piece of junk before, but the screen has been slowly falling off in literal pieces for the last couple months and now it’s got all kinds of wild colors and lines and blackouts on what’s left of the screen.

We’re both extremely low income, disabled, have no car, and we would love to just get something super cheap but minimally functional on ebay but she has to get something approved by her provider, Safelink, which is a government phone program that makes it possible for her to afford a phone bill in the first place. It looks like she could get something decent that wouldn’t need replacing for a reasonable while at around $200.

Having a working phone is pretty necessary for emergencies and just a really basic level of quality of life for her, especially with adhd and working long shifts where things like podcasts really help get her through her physically intensive, $9 an hour job.

If you can spare anything we’d both really appreciate it! Anything at all helps, and about $200 should be plenty. pls reblog if you can’t donate, thanks!
